David Brouillette is the ICE agent who allegedly murdered Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in front of his 3-year-old daughter in Biddeford, Maine. Now Brouillette’s ex-wife Ashley Brouillette confirms a history of vile abuse, including:

• Police report of throwing his 13 year-old-daughter through a coffee table

• A voice mail from him saying her throat should be cut, and

• Pulling a gun on her in the shower

In one incident recounted by Ashley and confirmed by her mother, Brouillette threw boiling water at her while she was holding their child.

In another, “we had been fighting, and I walked away and I got in the shower, and he comes in with a gun and pointed at me and tells me that he’s going to blow my brains all over the bathtub.”

After the Guerrero shooting, Brouillette reached out to her. “He asked me to basically talk good in his character, not to talk bad about him. And if I couldn’t not talk bad about him, then just not to talk at all to anybody,” she told NPR. “And I told him that I was not going to lie for him. He asked me not to talk about the abuse in our marriage. And I told him again I was not going to lie for him.”

Scott Collins was best friends with David Brouillette in high school in Maine. Collins testified on behalf of Ashley Brouillette in the divorce proceedings.

“He had a bad tendency of going out and looking for fights,” Collins said. “If he saw something online that he didn’t like, that somebody said that he knew, he would go out and start that fight.”

Collins also said that David Brouillette used anti-Black racial slurs in high school. Ashley Brouillette says she worries racism may have played a part in Durán Guerrero’s death.

“He has displayed racism. His nickname in high school was ‘White Boy David,’ if that tells you anything,” she said.

Hundreds of family court records obtained from the Augusta District Court detail years of allegations of physical and verbal abuse made by his second ex-wife on behalf of herself and his daughters.

The ex-wife (who is not identifying herself because she fears retaliation) alleged that he had stalked and harassed her and physically and verbally abused his daughter, according to multiple requests for temporary protection orders.

She said Brouillette tackled his teenage daughter and smashed spaghetti in her hair, and during another outburst, he dragged his daughter around the house as she cried.

“Dave needs counselling or something for his PTSD & depression,” she wrote in an application for a temporary protective order on behalf of his teenage daughter which a judge granted in 2021.

After his discharge from the army Brouillette worked for the Maine Correctional Center and for the state’s Health and Human Services Department, spending less than a year at each.

He attempted to be a fireman but according to him he was struck by a blow to the head by a steel beam during training and filed a lawsuit. According to his former superiors he was known for yelling and being insubordinate so they were glad to see him go.

In recent years, court filings show, he was collecting disability pay through Veteran’s Affairs.

He also drove a truck but quit in January 2025, citing health issues. He then passed a real estate exam but as with his other jobs lasted less than a year.

In late 2025, around the time he joined ICE, Ashley Brouillette said he left a three-minute voicemail mocking her for taking out a restraining order against him.

According to the message she shared, he repeatedly called her “disgusting” and suggested that she and the other women and girls in her “bloodline” should die.

“And all of you should have your fucking throats cut,” the voicemail said.

These are the jackboots that have been given guns, badges, and the cloak of government authority over anyone on American streets.
